What comes back when you send one load

Every back-office company will tell you they handle your billing. Here is the document, so you can judge the work before you hand over anything real.

This is a worked example on an ordinary dry-van run. Send me one of your own loads — rate confirmation, BOL, POD — and you get this back for it, free, whether or not we go further.

Notice what it does not claim. A document you didn’t send is marked not seen, never missing. An accessorial is worth checking, not money you are owed — detention depends on the free time in your rate confirmation, which I may not have been given. Overstating what a stranger’s paperwork proves is how these reviews lose credibility.

Worth checking before you invoice

How to read the amounts. A figure marked worth checking is what the item would be worth if it applies — not money you are definitely owed. Detention depends on the free time in your rate confirmation, and a lumper is only reimbursable if you paid it and kept the receipt. You decide what goes on the invoice.
